Packages and Pricing
Pets are quirky and unpredictable. One minute they are calm, and the next they’re bouncing off the walls. With this in mind all photo sessions are given a flexible time, ranging anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours for the basic packages. Even if we spend 2 hours trying to coax your cat out of a tree I have a photo guarantee, so no matter how excited your pet gets, you will get a great shot!
I use only top professional photo equipment, the same lights and high-resolution cameras that I use in my work for the Oregon Zoo. Your favorite picture can fit in your wallet or fill your wall! My Studio set up is completely portable… Do you have a vision of your horse beautifully lit in the middle of a field? Really want pictures at night? Lets do it.
No animal is too unusual for me… I pretty much love them all. With over six years of animal care experience under my belt, I have worked with a wide variety of animals, from spiders, to 18-foot long snakes, to tigers. Your pet is beautiful no matter how many limbs it has, and I would love to take their picture.
Your Photos:
You will be able to see your photos on the online gallery, and pick the ones you want. From your gallery, you can purchase prints up to 30” x 40”, or medium resolution digital files to share online. I also offer an assortment of other fun products like mugs and playing cards. Price examples for final fully retouched prints are: up to 8 x 10 = $30, 16 x 12 = $70. I also have printed stretched canvas available.
Packages include up to 2 pets in the photograph. Additional fees of $25 per additional animal apply. Please contact me for details.
Packages:
BASIC: $125. I will come to your home with my equipment. We can shoot in a favorite indoor spot, or in your yard.
PROFESSIONAL STUDIO: $125. Sessions can include something you bring from home (ie: favorite chair or rug) or stylized props at additional cost.
LOCATION LOCAL: $125. Do you envision a picture of your dog running in the park? Catching a Frisbee? Splashing around at the river? Then the location package is for you! Any location in the metro area is just $125.
LOCATION DISTANCE: $250. Is your pet happiest at the ocean? How about hiking in the gorge, or snowshoeing at Mount Hood? Is your pet a 2,000-pound horse living in Estacada? Then this 1/2-day package is just right! Anything is fair game within a 2-hour radius of Portland.
DAY IN THE LIFE: $500. This documentary package focuses on a more journalistic style of photography. I will follow you and your pet around for a whole day; go over your daily routine, and favorite things to do together. In the end I will put a photo book together telling your story. We can go anywhere, and do just about anything you want to illustrate your relationship. This package comes with a 1-hour phone consultation or private meeting to plan out the day.
BABY PACKAGE: $200. They grow up so fast, don’t they? You only have a year to really capture those freakishly big paws, that hilariously disproportionate head, or that over the top kitten personality. This package includes three portrait style photo shoots over the course of a year illustrating your pets awesome transformation from pocket sized to powerhouse!
OUTSIDE OF PORTLAND: I will travel anywhere in the world. My rates for non-commercial shoots are $250 - $300 for a 4 hour session depending on distance from my hotel, plus equipment rental costs as needed. If I am planning on being in a city ( I do yearly shoots in NY, LA, and SF ) I will cover my own travel costs, but if you want me to shoot you for the day on a whim then you will have to buy me a ticket.
Thinking outside the box? Any other Ideas are welcome. Whether it’s a dog’s birthday party, dressage competitions, newborn photos, or dog shows, I’m game. Half day rate: $250, full day $500.
NO PETS? I am also available for weddings, headshots, commercial shoots, and just about anything else you can think of. Contact me for pricing… I work well with people too!
